AI-suggested
A fix has been applied in the Linux kernel to check the length before parsing the PHY status IE in the rtw89 driver. Users should update to the fixed kernel version once available. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the provided data; check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rtw89 wifi driver was addressed by adding a length check before parsing the PHY status information element (IE). Without this check, hardware reporting PHY status IE with unexpected lengths could cause the parser to access memory out of range.
