A fix is available and has been applied in specific Linux kernel commits. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to mitigate the vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IPVS component allows invalid states in connection template sync records to be stored. This occurs because the sync receivers do not reject invalid template states before using them, potentially leading to improper state transitions in TCP and SCTP connections. The issue has been fixed by rejecting invalid template states in both sync protocol versions before connection lookup or modification.
