A fix is available that replaces the unsafe sprintf() call with snprintf() to limit the write size and prevent buffer overflow. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include this fix for the affected versions.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/rockchip analogix_dp driver allows a stack buffer overflow due to unchecked length of the endpoint name. The function rockchip_dp_drm_encoder_enable() uses sprintf() to write a device tree path into a fixed 32-byte buffer without length checks, which can overflow if the path is too long. This issue has been resolved by replacing sprintf() with snprintf() to ensure the buffer is not overflowed.
