Until a fix is available, restrict flow author privileges to trusted users only and limit the writable directories accessible to the service account to reduce risk.

Description

CVE-2026-97677 is a path traversal vulnerability in IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.2. An authenticated user with flow author privileges can write attacker-controlled content to any directory writable by the service account, bypassing local file access isolation. Additionally, crafted on-disk indexes allow reading arbitrary files accessible to the service process, including sensitive configuration and secret files.
