Description
CVE-2026-97931 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ALSA us122l driver. It involves improper handling of memory mapping permissions for read buffers, allowing a process with read-write access to the hardware-dependent node to escalate read-only mappings to writable via mprotect(). This can lead to out-of-bounds memory access and potential memory corruption.
