Users should update to a Linux kernel version including these commits to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation is required once patched.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's hwmon subsystem for the corsair-cpro driver allows debugfs entries to be created before the hwmon device is fully registered. If the device registration fails, these debugfs entries remain and reference freed memory, leading to potential use-after-free conditions when accessed.
