AI-suggested

A fix is available in the Linux kernel source, as indicated by the listed fixed commit versions. Users and administrators should update their Linux kernel to a version that includes these fixes to mitigate this vulnerability.

Description

A use-after-free vulnerability in the ALSA caiaq USB audio driver in the Linux kernel was addressed by decoupling the ep1_in_urb and midi_out_urb objects from the main device structure and managing their memory separately. This prevents the premature freeing of these URB objects when the sound card is released after a command timeout, which previously led to kernel memory corruption detected by KASAN.
