Description

CVE-2026-98029 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's eth nfp driver where the ntuple rule dump function does not properly limit output by the caller's buffer size. This flaw allows a local user without CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to cause out-of-bounds memory access by requesting fewer slots than the number of installed flow steering rules, potentially leading to memory corruption. The issue is fixed by bounding the dump operation to the caller's buffer size and returning an error when the buffer is insufficient.
