A fix is available and has been applied to the affected Linux kernel versions. Users should update to patched kernel versions to resolve this issue. Since this is a kernel-level fix, applying the official kernel updates from the vendor or distribution is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's bcmasp network driver was fixed by correcting the tx_spb_ring_full() function. The function previously initialized the next_index variable inside a loop, causing it to check the same descriptor slot multiple times instead of advancing through consecutive slots. This flaw could lead to improper transmission handling. The issue has been resolved by moving the initialization outside the loop to ensure correct slot checking before transmission.
