Description
CVE-2026-98052 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's bcmasp network driver. The flaw involves improper handling of the txcb->last flag in the transmission descriptors, where non-final fragments did not clear this flag, potentially causing premature freeing of network buffers. This could lead to use-after-free conditions affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system. The issue has been fixed by ensuring the txcb->last flag is cleared before setting it for the final fragment, preventing stale state reuse.
