A fix is available that introduces a cleanup helper function to properly release bioc memory in all error paths. Users should apply the updated Linux kernel versions that include this patch to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.
Description
A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Btrfs filesystem was fixed. The issue involved possible leaks of bioc_list memory during error conditions in btrfs_ordered_extent. Specifically, errors in btrfs_insert_one_raid_extent or IO errors on ordered extents could cause bioc memory not to be freed properly. The fix introduced a helper function to clean up and release bioc memory in all relevant code paths.
