AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel as indicated by the fixed commit versions. Users should update to a kernel version that includes these fixes to remediate the vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mpt3sas SCSI driver could lead to an out-of-bounds array read due to improper handling of NUMA node information. The function dev_to_node() may return -1 on systems without NUMA topology, which is then incorrectly used as an index in cpumask_of_node(), causing an out-of-bounds access. This issue has been fixed by falling back to cpu_online_mask when no valid NUMA node is available.
