Until patched, monitoring for kernel warnings related to mclk enable/disable imbalance may help detect the issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC fsl_micfil driver causes improper handling of the mclk clock enable/disable logic. The hw_params() function enables the mclk unconditionally, and hw_free() disables it unconditionally, but the PCM core does not guarantee these calls are paired 1:1. This can lead to a WARN() on double disable or a leaked enable reference, leaving the clock ungated.
