AI-suggested
This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed versions identified by the provided commit hashes. Since this is a kernel-level fix, applying the updated kernel version will mitigate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component allowed an authenticated client to include many structurally valid but unmapped SIDs in a DACL, causing excessive kernel error logging. This could lead to log flooding by generating hundreds of kernel error messages per request. The issue has been resolved by implementing rate limiting on these error messages to prevent such flooding.
