AI-suggested

A fix is available in the Linux kernel versions identified by the commits cf06dcd572845723821b54a608fc2da995c3c8e2 and 5d7f7bf8fba8cf563b42b44aa4ab3d9928ac480c. Users and administrators should update to these fixed kernel versions or later to remediate the issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS implementation caused a kmap_local mapping leak in the write_mft_record_nolock() function's error paths. Specifically, failure paths in pre_write_mst_fixup() and bio_add_folio() did not unmap the MFT record folio, corrupting the stack-ordered kmap_local mappings. This issue has been fixed by ensuring the folio is unmapped on those error paths.
