Users should update to the fixed Linux kernel version 6.16 or later containing these commits to remediate the issue.

Description

A race condition vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel NVMe driver. The function nvme_query_fdp_info() accesses and populates FDP placement ID arrays without synchronization, leading to potential concurrent access issues when multiple paths scan the same namespace. The fix moves this initialization to a function called once per shared namespace to avoid the race condition.
