A fix is available in the Linux kernel as indicated by the fixed commit versions. Users and administrators should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to mitigate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's wifi p54 driver involves improper validation of calibration curve data length in the calibration curve converters. Specifically, p54_convert_rev0() and p54_convert_rev1() functions read calibration data from EEPROM without verifying that the declared data length matches the actual data length, leading to an out-of-bounds read. This flaw was fixed by rejecting entries where the counts do not fit the entry data.
