AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in Linux kernel versions 4.10 and later. Users should upgrade to version 4.10 or later to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation steps are required once the system is updated.

Description

A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) subsystem was fixed. The issue occurs when an out_fence_ptr is provided without the DRM_MODE_PAGE_FLIP_EVENT flag set, leading to a drm_pending_vblank_event allocation that may not be properly released on certain error paths. This could cause resource leaks in affected kernel versions.
