AI-suggested
This vulnerability has been fixed in specific Linux kernel commits identified by the fixedVersions hashes. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to prevent the injection of frames with invalid bandwidth requests. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mac80211 WiFi subsystem allowed frames injected on a monitor interface to request a bandwidth wider than the actual operational channel context. This could trigger warnings in the hwsim driver due to bandwidth mismatches. The issue has been resolved by dropping such frames entirely, preventing the injection of frames with invalid bandwidth requests.
