AI-suggested

The issue has been fixed in the Linux kernel by ensuring ieee80211_tdls_oper() only operates on TDLS peers. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions containing commits 6f0a100df8539ce90f37c14e1945f396ca2410bc or 0cd452ccaa5c5971440256ce72c64611eca176c1 to remediate this vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mac80211 wireless subsystem was fixed to ensure that TDLS operations only target TDLS peers. Previously, the ieee80211_tdls_oper() function could mistakenly operate on the AP station, causing warnings and potential instability when the AP station was removed. The fix enforces a check to confirm the station is a TDLS peer before operating on it.
