A fix is available and has been applied in multiple Linux kernel commits as listed in the established facts. Users should update their Linux kernel to a version including these fixes to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's wifi cfg80211 subsystem was fixed to prevent improper filtering of BSS entries when removing stale entries. The flaw involved filtering by BSS type, which could leave stale entries in place and cause kernel warnings or instability when a rogue AP/device triggered a type change. This was addressed by removing the BSS type check during stale entry removal.
