Description
CVE-2026-98341 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's wifi cfg80211 subsystem. It occurs when a network interface goes down during an ongoing scan, leading to a race condition where both the kernel and the driver believe they own the scan request. This results in a use-after-free in the scan_done() function. The issue has been addressed by tracking driver ownership more carefully and removing problematic warnings.
