Description
CVE-2026-98357 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IB/isert driver. It occurs because deferred control PDU completions are not properly waited on before releasing the connection, leading to potential access of freed memory. The flaw was fixed by counting deferred completions per connection and ensuring the wait occurs before releasing resources. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 8.1.
