AI-suggested

A patch is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version containing the referenced commits to remediate this issue. Since this is a kernel-level fix, applying the official kernel update is the recommended mitigation.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel s390/cmf subsystem involved confusion between virtual and physical addresses. The issue caused incorrect address usage by firmware when storing extended format channel measurement data on kernels built with CONFIG_RANDOMIZE_IDENTITY_BASE=y. This has been fixed by defining certain fields as dma64_t and adding the missing virt_to_dma64() translation.
