AI-suggested
This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official patches or upgrade to a kernel version that includes the fix identified by the listed commit hashes. No additional mitigation is required once the fix is applied.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's VLAN handling code could cause a kernel panic due to insufficient headroom in vlan_dev_hard_header(). This occurs when callers reserve less than the required Ethernet header length or when socket buffers are allocated before dynamic device headroom changes. The issue has been fixed by ensuring sufficient headroom using skb_cow_head() and safe concurrent reads of device header length parameters.
