A fix is available and has been applied to the Linux kernel source code. Users and administrators should update to the fixed kernel version containing this patch. No additional mitigation steps are indicated or required beyond applying the official fix.

Description

A race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NFC LLCP socket handling was resolved. The flaw involved concurrent unlinking and releasing of the same child socket due to improper synchronization between socket release and accept dequeue operations, leading to potential use-after-free or NULL pointer dereference. The fix replaces a bottom-half lock with a process-context lock, defers final resource release to a workqueue to avoid sleeping in atomic context, and adds safeguards to prevent object resurrection and listener hangs. The vulnerability affects the NFC LLCP socket lifecycle and was addressed with multiple synchronization and lifecycle management improvements.
