AI-suggested

This vulnerability is fixed in Linux kernel versions 6.12.112, 6.18.55, and later. Users should upgrade to these or newer kernel versions to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official fix.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth RFCOMM implementation allows short EA=0 frames to be improperly processed due to insufficient length checks in rfcomm_recv_frame(). This can cause malformed frames to be treated as valid payload or control commands. The issue is fixed by extending the length check to require a longer frame length when the extended length field is present.
