AI-suggested
A fix has been implemented in the Linux kernel to properly unregister ACP MFD child devices on initialization failure paths after mfd_add_devices() succeeds. Users should apply the official kernel update that includes this fix. Since this is a kernel-level resource management issue, updating to a patched kernel version is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/amdgpu driver caused ACP MFD child devices to remain registered and not released if initialization failed after device registration. This device leak occurs when attaching a child device to the ACP power domain fails or when ACP reset or clock enable operations time out. The issue has been fixed by ensuring that child devices are properly unregistered and removed from the power domain upon such failures.
