The vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel in the commits listed under fixedVersions. Users should apply these kernel updates to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated or required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's isofs filesystem driver related to handling set_blocksize failures has been resolved. The issue arises because isofs uses buffer_heads, which do not properly handle block sizes larger than PAGE_SIZE. Without proper handling, mounting an isofs filesystem can trigger a kernel BUG_ON condition in folio_set_bh during the first __bread_gfp call. This flaw was fixed in specific Linux kernel commits.
