AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in Linux kernel versions 6.1.189, 6.4, and related commits. Users should upgrade to these fixed versions or later to resolve the issue. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official kernel updates.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF sockmap implementation caused double-counting of TCP sequence numbers during self-redirects of packets back to the same socket. This flaw led to incorrect TCP sequence tracking and kernel warnings. The issue has been fixed by changing the handling of self-redirect verdicts to avoid double advancement of sequence counters.
