A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel commits referenced. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes. No additional mitigation actions are indicated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's KVM arm64 implementation related to the handling of the SVE feature bit at EL2 has been resolved. The issue involved inconsistent derivation of the GUEST_HAS_SVE flag, which could lead to a vCPU with a NULL SVE state being loaded incorrectly. The fix derives the flag directly from the SVE feature bit and removes redundant code for protected VMs that do not support SVE.
