Description
CVE-2026-98945 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's HID steam driver. It involves a race condition during the teardown sequence where callbacks could be scheduled after the steam struct has been freed, leading to dangling pointer dereferences. The fix rearranges the teardown sequence and cancels work related to rumble and mode switching during steam device unregistration to prevent use-after-free conditions.
