AI-suggested

This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel versions identified by commits e06b678e3b4e12fdaa0b51a7a5a54abc5dbd6469 and 988bf67a13890a37a33201f95947095ca9bec856. Users should update to these fixed versions or later to mitigate the issue. No additional mitigations are indicated.

Description

A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's cgroup cpuset subsystem was addressed by avoiding direct access to a potentially stale pointer in the is_in_v2_mode() function. The fix introduces a new flag to safely indicate cpuset v2 mode, preventing unsafe memory access during cgroup filesystem rebind operations.
