Description
CVE-2026-99014 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth subsystem affecting versions from 6.6.28 up to but not including 6.6.160, versions 6.8.7 up to but not including 6.9, and version 6.9. It involves a use-after-free condition during the setup of passive advertising (PA) sync scans, where command skb lifetimes are not properly managed, leading to potential memory corruption. The flaw arises due to improper synchronization between concurrent workqueues accessing and freeing command data buffers. The issue has been fixed in Linux kernel versions 6.6.160, 6.9, and other specified commits.
