AI-suggested

This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. The fix includes freeing all outstanding DMA buffers on dmaengine stop and adding synchronization to prevent race conditions. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions containing the patches identified by commits eececf7c3a679d9c08175ad6bacbc8c31848f5af, bcf2573a68a808a5b54cadafa72b6672e662c2bf, 079396129da5e7cb40ca0920aa1b9525bef6097c, and 5e5cf3ad7c099ff86ea9e422cddb25a2e5317b58. No additional mitigation is required once updated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Xilinx axienet driver causes DMA buffers to leak when the dmaengine is stopped. This occurs because outstanding DMA-mapped socket buffers (SKBs) are not freed properly on interface stop, potentially exhausting IOMMU resources. The issue is fixed by ensuring all DMA buffers are freed on stop and adding synchronization to prevent race conditions during teardown.
