AI-suggested

This issue has been fixed in the Linux kernel. The fix ensures all requests are completed properly after eject is set, preventing hangs. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes the fix identified by commits f2c181e1d58e911804e14543b2f1cc6b23a0d4d6, d7e811c3a49cd5cff529c157df886719e09370ec, c96ca94425b076dc398d929366e378d1e22ec794, 5616da0f92339328fa1472876df51555e15ad340, or 5b599e28aeb3684772aef64f46cc6f25f4c67128.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel memstick subsystem (rtsx_usb_ms driver) causes requests to be dropped silently after eject instead of being properly completed. This leads to a hang during device removal, as the memstick core waits indefinitely for request completion. The issue is fixed by ensuring all requests are completed with an error once eject is set, preventing hangs during removal.
