AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in versions after 6.12, as indicated by the fixed commits. Users should update to a patched Linux kernel version containing these fixes to prevent kernel panic caused by this vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel TCP zerocopy receive path was fixed by rejecting net_iov fragments before page mapping. The flaw caused a null pointer dereference in can_map_frag() when processing unreadable net_iov fragments, leading to kernel panic under certain conditions. The issue affects Linux kernel version 6.12 and was resolved by adding a guard to reject net_iov fragments early.
