AI-suggested

A fix is available in Linux kernel versions 6.2, 6.7, 6.13, 6.18.58, 6.20, and later. Users should upgrade to these fixed versions or later to mitigate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dm-integrity module allows a mismatch between the superblock on resume and the validated superblock stored in memory. This can lead to out-of-bounds memory writes when the superblock is modified while the device is suspended. The issue is fixed by snapshotting the validated superblock and refusing to resume if on-disk geometry fields have changed.
