AI-suggested
A fix is available in Linux kernel version 6.15 and later, which includes a software workaround to detect and mitigate the AMD TLBI Erratum #1718. Users should update to this or a later kernel version. If a microcode update is available from the CPU vendor, applying it will also address the issue.
Description
CVE-2026-99099 addresses a vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to AMD processors where the processor may fail to invalidate a TLB entry when executing an INVLPGB/TLBSYNC instruction pair. This issue is known as AMD TLBI Erratum #1718. The Linux kernel has implemented a software workaround to detect this erratum and mitigate it when a microcode fix is not available.
