A fix has been implemented in the Linux kernel to address this issue by adjusting the channel mask logic. Users should apply the official kernel update containing this fix once available. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the input; check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC SOF ipc4-topology component caused a shift-out-of-bounds error when handling aggregated ALH capture streams with fewer channels than devices. This occurs due to an underflow in a bitmask calculation leading to an invalid shift operation. The issue has been fixed by treating cases where channel count is less than device count similarly to existing cases, applying the same channel mask to every aggregated device.
