AI-suggested

A patch is available that restores reading the GMAC_RGSMIIIS register in the interrupt status handler to clear the RGMII status interrupt. Applying this patch prevents the interrupt storm and system lockups on resume. Users should update their Linux kernel to a version including this fix. No other mitigation is indicated.

Description

A Linux kernel vulnerability in the stmmac driver for dwmac1000 causes a soft lockup and system hang during resume from low-power states due to an unhandled RGMII status interrupt. The issue arises because the driver stopped reading the GMAC_RGSMIIIS register, leaving the interrupt status pending and causing an interrupt storm that starves the CPU. A patch restores reading this register to clear the interrupt and prevent the lockup.
