AI-suggested
A fix has been applied in the Linux kernel to zero the OA buffer at allocation, preventing stale kernel memory exposure. Users should update to the kernel version containing the fix. Since this is a kernel-level fix, applying the official patch or upgrading to a fixed kernel release is the recommended mitigation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/xe/oa component allows information disclosure due to uninitialized memory exposure. The OA buffer allocated for certain streams may contain stale kernel memory because it is not zeroed on allocation, and this buffer is mmap'able by userspace. This issue was fixed by zeroing the buffer at allocation to prevent leaking kernel memory contents.
