AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in Linux kernel versions 5.15.224 and later, as well as in version 5.16. Users should update to these fixed versions to remediate the issue.

Description

A concurrency issue in the Linux kernel's io-wq subsystem was addressed by ensuring proper memory ordering when setting the exit bit against worker creation task work. Without this ordering, on weakly ordered architectures, the exiting task could indefinitely wait due to a race condition involving task work cancellation and worker references.
