AI-suggested

A fix has been implemented in the Linux kernel to address this issue by adding a no_notify_signal guard that prevents TIF_NOTIFY_SIGNAL from interrupting the reaper. Users should apply the updated kernel version containing this fix once available.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's pid_namespace handling allows the TIF_NOTIFY_SIGNAL flag to interrupt the reaper process improperly. The issue arises because the TIF_NOTIFY_SIGNAL flag can be set again after being cleared, causing the reaper to busy-wait or return prematurely from sleep calls. The fix introduces a no_notify_signal guard to ensure the reaper sleeps correctly until a child process exits or is freed.
