The vulnerability is fixed in the Linux kernel commits identified by hashes cc2839946328c1618b3870d521b32bb9483d49d0 and 2935062be77113c1c4565ca9d0c72180449aafee. Users should update to a kernel version including these fixes to remediate the issue.

Description

A concurrency issue in the Linux kernel scheduler extension (sched_ext) was fixed by ensuring that operations moving tasks off Dispatch Scheduling Queues (DSQs) wait for the dispatching operation (SCX_OPSS_DISPATCHING) to complete. Without this wait, tasks could be concurrently manipulated by both the dispatcher and the DSQ consume/move paths, leading to potential race conditions.
