AI-suggested

Apply the official security updates provided by Ubuntu for the Erlang and erlang-ssh packages as listed in the Ubuntu advisories USN-7443-1 and USN-7443-2. After updating, reboot the system to ensure all changes take effect. These updates correct the authentication handling flaw in the SSH module. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying these patches.

Description

A vulnerability in the Erlang/OTP SSH module allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands without authentication by sending specially crafted network traffic. This flaw affects multiple Ubuntu Erlang package versions and could lead to system compromise. Fixes have been released for Ubuntu versions 20.04 LTS, 22.04 LTS, 24.04 LTS, 24.10, and 25.04. Users are advised to update to the patched package versions and reboot their systems to apply the changes.
