Description

FastapiAdmin versions through 3.0 have an authentication bypass vulnerability (CVE-2026-111641) that allows unauthenticated attackers to obtain sessions for any user. Attackers can abuse unprotected auto-login endpoints to list users, mint a superuser auto-login token, and exchange it for a JWT session, gaining full administrative control. The vulnerability has a critical CVSS score of 9.8.

Technical Analysis

FastapiAdmin through version 3.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability identified as CVE-2026-111641. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit unprotected auto-login API endpoints. Specifically, attackers can enumerate users via the /api/v1/auth/auto-login/users endpoint, create a superuser auto-login token, and exchange this token for a JWT session. This results in full administrative access to the application without authentication.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation grants unauthenticated attackers full administrative control over FastapiAdmin instances up to version 3.0. This includes the ability to impersonate any user, including superusers, potentially leading to complete system compromise, data exposure, and unauthorized administrative actions.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected auto-login endpoints and monitor for unauthorized access attempts.
