Users should avoid opening untrusted FLI files or visiting untrusted web pages that might deliver malicious content. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and apply patches once released.
Description
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in GIMP due to improper validation when parsing FLI files, leading to an out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires user interaction such as opening a malicious file or visiting a malicious page. This flaw allows attackers to execute arbitrary code within the context of the GIMP process.
