AI-suggested

Upgrade gRPC-Go to version 1.83.1 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Alternatively, receive-buffer compaction can be temporarily controlled using the GRPC_GO_EXPERIMENTAL_ENABLE_RECEIVE_BUFFER_COMPACTION environment variable, but upgrading is the recommended permanent solution.

Description

A high-severity vulnerability in gRPC-Go prior to version 1.83.1 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust process memory by sending many small fragmented HTTP/2 DATA frames. This occurs because each fragmented frame is stored separately in memory, leading to excessive heap consumption and potential runtime panic or out-of-memory termination. The issue is fixed in version 1.83.1.
