Description

Gophish versions 0.11.0 through 0.12.1 have a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability that allows authenticated low-privileged users to send POST requests to /api/import/site and access loopback and private network hosts. This vulnerability enables attackers to submit internal URLs that bypass the default dialer deny list, potentially allowing them to read service responses and enumerate internal hosts and ports via error messages. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 4.3.

Technical Analysis

Gophish versions 0.11.0 through 0.12.1 contain an SSRF vulnerability (CVE-2026-107273) where authenticated users with low privileges can exploit the POST /api/import/site endpoint to reach internal loopback and private hosts. The default dialer deny list does not block certain internal URLs, enabling attackers to read responses from internal services and enumerate hosts and ports through error messages. This vulnerability is classified under CWE-918.

Potential Impact

Authenticated low-privileged users can leverage this SSRF vulnerability to access internal network resources that are normally inaccessible, potentially exposing sensitive information about internal hosts and services. The impact is limited to information disclosure (confidentiality) with no direct integrity or availability impact reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the vulnerable API endpoint to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious activity involving internal URL requests. Avoid exposing Gophish instances to untrusted networks.
